Pine Shortcut is a small program for Windows (a macOS version is coming soon) that turns short triggers into the text you type every day: replies to customers, addresses, greetings, signatures, order confirmations. You type a trigger such as /ship, confirm it, and the full message appears where your cursor is. You can also give any snippet its own hotkey, or open a small picker window and search for the one you need.
Why we built it
Our own studio answers the same customer questions many times a day. Existing text expanders were either tied to one computer, sent what you type to a server, or were too complicated for people who simply want to save a few minutes. We wanted something calm and dependable: it does one job, keeps your typing on your PC, and lets you reach the same snippets from the office and from home.
How it treats your data
- What you type is never sent to our servers. Trigger detection runs entirely on your PC.
- If you create an account, we store your email address and the snippets you choose to save, so that they can sync to your linked PCs.
- You can export or delete your data at any time from the account page.
- Pine Shortcut has no ads, in the program or on this website.
Who makes it
Pine Shortcut is made by Solhyang Design (솔향 디자인), a small design and printing studio in Korea. The pine tree in our logo stands for something that stays green all year and is always within reach, which is what we want a shortcut tool to be.
